Production

We are procuring world class technology for the processing of Turkish sultanas.

The equipment of latest technology, in-line and end-line metal detections, laser scanner and xray sorter have been used in processing of the first quality sultana & raisin raw material to improve its production and quality.


Once the raisins and sultanas have dried sufficiently, they are placed in large bins to store until processed. The dried fruits are graded and received by Çancılar experts and stored in warehouses under controlled conditions. After classifying carefully they are scaled and washed with fresh water.


In the first stage of washing process the raisin is transferred to first screen by a spiral machinery in which it takes its pre-washing stage, too. Treating the grape with water in order to clean them off stone, chip and other foreign material. Washing process is performed in double stage in our plants. 3-6 ppm chlorine is contributed in washing water in order prevent microbial activities.

The grapes being stored on wire mesh shelves after washing are left for resting 24 hours long. If whitened grape was requested, wire meshes are taking in sulfuring rooms and sulfuring treatment is applied to grapes.

Raisins are entered to particular machinery after mixing with a eatable food oil, for getting their cop stems and then they pass through different screens with different size (the size of screens depend on the kind of raisin and also customer’s demands) in order to be sorted from stalks, cop stems and immature berries.


With the help of latest technology available, impurities such as stalks, stems and stones are eliminated by laser scanners as well as X-Ray sorters. Several checks are carried out at critical points during the course of production. The product is then further inspected, every shipment is prepared to meet customers specification and satisfaction. Since the quality is an essential ingredient in contemporary food industry, our technical team do their utmost to meet the highest standard of hygiene and process control. In addition to our regular controls, our facilities are audited annually by our principal customers.

At Çancılar, routine hygiene and site audits are conducted daily. Production areas are inspected every morning before the start of production by Çancılar Quality Assurance, any deficiencies in sanitation of production areas are resolved before the start up of production. Our factory is equipped with full stainless steel washing line and the latest processing technology, including Laser Scanner and Metal Detectors for the final removal of defective and foreign materials from our raisins. All of this meticulous attention to details ensures that the customer receives only the highest quality product possible.

Sultana raisins are packaged in food safe plastic bags and put into cardboard cartons after weighing. Cartons are inspected via a package metal detector before palletizing and being sent to Quality Control.
